Training Course for Educators and Multipliers in Human Rights Education in the West Mediterranean area

The Training Course Building bridges for human rights aimed at developing competences of youth leaders, trainers and educators, dealing with youth work and/or Human Rights Education in the west Mediterranean Area.

The course was specially designed to enable participants to act as multiplier agents of HRE in providing the skills, attitudes and knowledge to youth leaders working with young people and to highlight the importance of active citizenship in order to develop democratic societies raising awareness on the importance of HRE among societies.

Dive’n Diversity

Training Course on Intercultural and Inter-religious dialogue.

 

August 2006, Raplamaa (Estonia)

The main aims of Dive’n Diversity were:

To empower youth leaders with competencies on inclusion and citizenship, which they could use within their projects and practices; and support their role as multipliers working with young people.

To support the development of youth projects integrating young people from different cultural backgrounds in the strengthening of civil society.

The main aim of this Training Course was to develop knowledge, skills and attitudes of youth leaders and educators working with young people in the Euro-Mediterranean area promoting Intercultural and Inter-religious Dialogue and to foster the development of quality-projects within Youth and Youth Euro-Med Programme.

With this Training Course the organisers contributed to the Campaign “All Different All Equal”.

The main aim was to develop knowledge, skills and attitudes of youth leaders and educators working with young people in the Euro-Mediterranean area combating gender based discrimination on religious or cultural grounds thus promoting Intercultural and Inter-religious Dialogue, and to foster the development of quality-projects within the youth work.

The main theme of the course 1001 Rights for Dialogue: Euro Mediterranean Training Course on Human Rights Education is to develop competences to widen the perspectives of youth leaders on dialogue in a human rights context through analyzing concepts, realities and ways for developing them through youth work.

 

 

Gender and Religion: A necessary Dialogue

Euro-Mediterranean Training Course on Intercultural and Inter-religious dialogue Around Gender

The Euro-Mediterranean Training Course on Intercultural and Inter-religious Dialogue around Gender “Gender and Religion: a necessary dialogue” took place from the 4th till the 13th March 2008 and aimed to widen the understanding on religious diversity and to develop competences of youth leaders on intercultural dialogue from a gender perspective through analyzing concepts, realities and ways for developing it through youth work.

25 youth leaders and educators from Catalonia, Italy, Portugal, Slovenia, Turkey, Jordan, Israel, Egypt and Morocco participated in the course that took place in Coma-ruga, Tarragona. The course was facilitated by experienced trainers representing themselves the cultural and religious diversity of the Euro-Mediterranean area.

The course contributed to the European year of Intercultural Dialogue and encouraged the use of the Youth in Action programme as a tool to develop and implement partnership and quality value based projects among youth organisations in the Euro-Mediterranean area.
